I'm in beginning photography. All my photos have to be in black and white, so we can focus on the subject, rather than be distracted by color. For my first photography assignment we had to capture "Hawaii" in a photo. I didn't want it to be touristy/cliche, I wanted it to be what Hawaii has meant to ME. I took over 200 shots, and had to narrow it down to 20 something, and then 2 from those. The last two are the ones I put on the assignment.
